Pumpkin Scarecrows have made an appearance in the game! When you talk to one of them, you will see the following options:   "I am the spirit of All Hallows' Eve, Happy Halloween!"   You receive some jawbreakers! Exchange an Empty Basket for candy Exchange candies for a Pumpkin Head Find Halloween Scream Mask Exchange pumpkins for an item

​Jawbreakers

As a welcome, you can collect 10 Jawbreakers from a Scarecrow. They increase your max HP by 300 and your max MP by 200 for 15 minutes.
This gift is only available once per character! The sweets are only for you and therefore neither storable nor tradable.

 

Empty Baskets

During the Halloween monster will drop Empty Baskets. To get them, you must kill monsters that are equal to or above your level. Monsters below your level, even those that still have white names, will not drop baskets. So check up on those monster levels before you go hunting!

​The baskets might be empty now, but when you bring them to the Scarecrow, they will give you candy! Exchange them before the end of the event, otherwise they will disappear!

 

Halloween Candy

You can exchange the empty baskets with one of the numerous Scarecrows - one basket at a time. When you turn in baskets, you will receive one of the six types of candy in exchange:

 

When you eat a candy, you will receive a message saying that it has one of the five possible tastes. Each taste is like a buff that has a temporary effect on your character. But beware! Eating a bad candy has a negative impact! Just taste to see what happens!

 

Heavenly taste	Movement speed and max HP are increased by 20% for 5 minutes.
Good taste	Max HP is increased by 20% for 5 minutes.
O.K. taste	Movement speed is increased by 20% for 5 minutes.
Bad taste	Movement speed is decreased by 20% for 5 minutes.
Terrible taste	Movement speed and max HP is decreased by 20% for 5 minutes.

You can eat only one candy at a time. If you want to eat a second, because the first one had a negative effect, then it is still possible. The first effect simply disappears and is replaced by the new "flavor".

Vouchers

As you eat the candy and get random tastes from it, you may also receive vouchers. There are two types: The Voucher of good taste and the Voucher of bad taste. You will receive the Voucher of good taste when you eat a candy that gives you a Heavenly taste, and the Voucher of bad taste when you eat a candy that gives you a Terrible (aka. Disgusting) taste. The in-between tastes will not give you vouchers. Vouchers may not be bought, sold, traded, dropped, or picked up.
 

Bring one of each vouchers to the Scarecrow to exchange it for a Scream Mask - a scary C2 costume that lasts 30 days (picture below in the Hats & Masks section).

 

Pumpkin Head The Scarecrow will give you a Jack-o'-lantern hat if you exchange at least one of each type of candy for it. While not the prettiest things in the world, Jack-o'-lantern hats are very important because they are necessary for you to be able to see the Pumpkin Ghosts! ​The hats are just like normal helmets; they give you 50 Physical Defense and 20 Magical Defense no matter what level or class your character is and will replace the helmet you're wearing. Pumpkin heads have also an expiration date and will disappear after 24 hours. ​

Pumpkin Ghosts

While wearing your Pumpkin Hat, you will see little bouncing pumpkins on the map. When you kill them they have a chance to drop a pumpkin. ​Pumpkin Ghosts are level 20, so they will be blue-named to most of you. Don't worry though, unlike regular monsters the Pumpkin Ghosts' drop rate is not affected by your level! Their drop rate appears to be fixed at about 30%, so don't be too surprised if you draw a blank a couple times in a row when killing these. Pumpkin Ghosts are bright orange, big, and passive. They have around 4700 HP, moderate defense, and a very low attack. Despite the flames they blow when they attack, it is purely physical; no magic skills are involved. Don't be afraid of 'em! ​

Pumpkins

Pumpkins can be exchanged at the Scarecrow for some nifty prizes. Do it before the end of the event, otherwise they will disappear! The prizes include:

Halloween Tokens

Token Boxes contain random number of Halloween Tokens. You can get 1, 2, 3, 5 or even 10 of them. Halloween Tokens are needed to open Halloween Lucky Boxes, which can be purchased from Abraxas, The Demon Knight. He can be found in The Lost City in Dratan:

Warning: The boxes will all have a lock symbol on them to show they are event items. If you purchase from other players or Trading Agents, please mouse over the item and check the name of the item. Don't be scammed!

Both the Halloween Tokens and the Halloween Token Boxes will expire after the event is over.

If you still have in your inventory [Event] Bonus Book of Melding from the previous versions of Halloween Event, you can exchange them at the Transmuter for Halloween Token Boxes. To do so choose the 'Transmogrify Item' option. The exchange can be done only during the event and will only work for [Event] books!

 

Giant Pumpkins

Giant Pumpkin Head is a huge Halloween boss, which appears on every open map every 2 hours. To be able to see and attack him you will also need to wear a pumpkin head.
 

In contrast to the small pumpkins, this pumpkin spirit with its level 100 is much stronger and very difficult to fight! He has a lot of HP and level 3 elemental attack and defense of darkness. Bring some friends if you intend to attack him. Even characters far above level 100 have a hard time with the very unfriendly guy. But when defeated, he compensates you and your fellow combatants with great drops: Pumpkins, Halloween candies, empty baskets.
 

In addition, you have a chance to receive a special quest, Halloween Party Invitation, to obtain a P2 Pumpkin Ghost companion and one of the special Halloween Masks: Jason or Ghost. The quest has to be completed before the Halloween event is over!

 

Hats & Masks

Scream, Jason and Ghost Masks, which you can obtain during the Halloween event, are also available in the Item Mall.The Wizard Hats are returning as a C2 cover:

Halloween Costume

Only during the event time you can buy new costumes in the shop! These are seasonally limited and only available for Halloween. But that is not all! They give you a special fortune buff that you can use to drop pumpkins even with normal monsters! However the drop rate is not great and it only pays off when you kill a lot of white named monsters.
